The CalTeach Program at UC Merced is the only university out of all UC campuses with a scientific labratory solely focused on K-12 STEM outreach and it's called the CalTeach Learning Lab! STEM lessons are taught by UC, Merced undergraduate students in the Learning Labs, Teacher Training Program!
Past K-12 STEM lessons included; Chemistry labs on Polymers, DNA, Acids/Bases, and Spectrum Analysis! Engineering activities included aluminim boats, coding and robotics, marble rollercoasters, and balloon cars, all with math concepts weaved thoughout!
Over 2,000 students served in the first year of opening!
